Mountain Bike Season is Close!

Hey, 100YA Crew -

It’s time to get the ball rolling on our 2026 100YA biking plans!

We’re looking at a number of ideas for ramping up the 100YA mountain biking program in 2026. Please let us know your feedback on the below, or anything else you’d like to see.

  • The gym’s first trainer bike. Would you use a trainer bike to get in baseline work, do benchmark testing (FTP, Thresholds, etc.) and experiment with bike fit settings? Once you have the baseline performance benchmarks, it’s much easier to build and execute a training plan that will significantly boost your performance.

  • How about a 2-3 day MTB training camp in Southern Utah (Hurricane) in late April? Early season training camps are a great way to accelerate your conditioning and build skills. And why not enjoy some perfect weather and trails in the desert?

  • What do you want from the summer bike program: rides for fitness, skills, or fun and  exploring? What about strength and conditioning classes that focus on MTB performance and align with your riding schedule?

Do you already have some cycling goals for the summer? Here are 3 things you can do now to set yourself up for success:

  • Log 150-180 minutes of Zone 2 work per week between now and when we can go outside on a consistent basis. One longer ride per week will make a big impact.

  • Build a plan that has 16 weeks of progressive training leading up to the milestone.  Let us know if you want help building the plan

  • Do your 100YA strength work.

Email “Mountain Bike” and Brian Allison will reach out directly.

Thank you!
